The 25th Annual Canadian Exam Preparation and Review Course for Clinical and Radiation Oncology
This 6-day annual refresher course is designed to assist Radiation Oncology Residents in preparing for their final FRCPC Examinations.
The Division of Radiation Oncology at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary is proud to announce we are hosting The 25th Annual Canadian Exam Preparation and Review Course for Clinical and Radiation Oncology this year in Calgary, Alberta.
This course is designed to help PGY4 and PGY5 Radiation Oncology Residents in preparing for their final FRCPC examinations. The goal of the course is to assist each candidate in projecting a competent and focused attitude when tested during the formal FRCPC examination process. This course is expected to be especially helpful to out of town residents who will be tested by unfamiliar radiation oncologists, including past examiners at the Royal College examination.
This course is targeted to Radiation Oncology Residents, Fellows and Radiation Oncologists preparing for the Royal College Exam. This would will also be of benefit to practicing Radiation Oncologists seeking a refresher course.
Highlights of the course include intensive, interactive case-based teaching sessions on topics of Oncology; Simulation of the FRCPC Examinations both in written and oral formats; Confidential, individual coaching and feedback following the stimulated examinations that will focus on each candidates performance, emphasizing their strengths and weaknesses

Written Exam: Basic Sciences and Clinical Written Exams will be administered to all registrants on the morning of Monday, November 25, 2019. Exams will be available in French.
Oral Exams: Three groupings have been created for Saturday, November 30, 2019. Dr. Natalie Logie, Director of Examinations, will send emails to those registered individually. We have invited 4 French examiners from out-of-town to assist in delivery upon request.

Resident Social at GRETA YYC Tuesday, November 26, 2019 6:15pm Come join your resident colleagues and mingle with staff Radiation Oncologists at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. We have booked out a section at GRETA YYC We’ll supply food, a game card to take advantage of half price games, and a drink ticket. Coat check is $1 but hopefully it will not snow.
