Jennifer Vena is the Scientific Director of Alberta’s Tomorrow Project (ATP), a longitudinal cohort study of 55,000 Albertans currently in its 20th year. ATP sits in Cancer Research & Analytics in Cancer Care Alberta, Alberta Health Services, and is part of the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow’s Health (CanPath) national consortium of cohort studies. Dr. Vena is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Depts of Oncology and Community Health Sciences. Dr. Vena’s work largely focuses on lifestyle behaviours and prevention of cancer and chronic diseases, as well as population cohort science. Her background is in energy balance, body weight regulation, nutrition and metabolism.
