Dr. Leslie Skeith is an Assistant Professor and hematologist with a clinical and research interest in women’s health and venous thromboembolism (VTE). She is cross-appointed to the Department of Medicine, Community Health Sciences and Oncology, and is a member of the Libin Cardiovascular Research Institute of Alberta, O’Brien Institute for Public Health and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute.
She is leading a CIHR-funded multinational pilot RCT evaluating the feasibility of aspirin to prevent VTE in postpartum women at risk of thrombosis (www.partumtrial.ca), and is also completing research in the area of antiphospholipid syndrome and pregnancy.
