Dr. Carla Amaro is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta. She completed her medical training and residencies in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology in Brazil, followed by a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Medical Oncology at the University of Calgary. She specializes in the treatment of breast, lung, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary malignancies. Her academic interests include hepatobiliary cancers, breast cancer outcomes research, and real-world oncology studies. She has collaborated on multiple Canadian research initiatives and has authored several peer-reviewed publications, with a particular focus on hepatocellular carcinoma and breast cancer.
