Dr. Banerjee completed medical school at the University of Alberta followed by residency training at the University of Calgary. He has a fellowship in HDR Brachytherapy from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His clinical areas of focus include gynecologic cancer, head and neck cancer, skin and thyroid cancer. He is the site lead for the Head and Neck tumor group at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. He has clinical and research interests in HDR brachytherapy and stereotactic body radiotherapy. Active areas of research include clinical outcomes for head and neck cancer, head and neck cancer de-escalation strategies, HDR brachytherapy for gynecologic cancers, and stereotactic radiotherapy for oligo-metastatic gynecologic cancers.
