Biography

Dr. Antoine Bouchard-Fortier is a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Surgery, Oncology and Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. He obtained his medical degree at Université de Montréal going on to complete a residency in general surgery and a Master of Sciences in Clinical Epidemiology at Université Laval in Quebec City. He then completed a fellowship in General Surgical Oncology in Calgary and an international fellowship at Gustave Roussy Institute in France for additional training in peritoneal surface malignancies and oncoplastic surgery. His areas of clinical and research interests include advanced gastrointestinal cancers, peritoneal surface malignancies, soft tissue sarcoma and breast cancer. Since July 2020, he is the new program director for the general surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Calgary.
