Dr. Cynthia Card is a Medical Oncologist and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology at the University of Calgary. She has been in practice in Calgary since 2002, with clinical expertise in thoracic oncology and endocrine/neuroendocrine malignancies. She has a particular interest in bronchial neuroendocrine tumours and diffuse idiopathic pulmonary neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia (DIPNECH).
Dr. Card’s primary academic focus is medical education. She currently serves as Program Director for the University of Calgary Medical Oncology Residency Training Program and is actively involved in postgraduate medical education, curriculum development, and resident assessment. She holds a Master of Science in Medical Education.
Dr. Card also has a longstanding interest in physician health and wellness. She serves as Chief Wellness Officer for the Division of Medical Oncology, represents the Division on the Cumming School of Medicine’s WellMD Committee, and contributes nationally through the Canadian Association of Medical Oncologists’ work in physician wellness, sustainability, and burnout.
