Biography

Dr. Chaudhry received his undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Alberta and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. He joined the Alberta Blood and Marrow Transplant Program and the Departments of Oncology and Medicine at the University of Calgary in 1994. He is the recipients of numerous awards and distinctions, including the Clinician of the Year Award (Foothills Medical Center Medical Staff Association), Hematology Residency Program Teaching Award (2018) and the Tricia Antonini Award (2018). Dr. Chaudhry’s focus includes quality improvement initiatives and harmonized practice through the creation and maintenance of clinical practice guidelines for the program.

Summary of Research

Dr. Chaudhry is a physician within the Section of Hematology and Hematological Malignancies, University of Calgary. His area of focus is hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular therapy, including CAR T-cell therapy. Dr. Chaudhry is Facility Medical Director for the Bone Marrow Collection Service at Foothills Medical Center. At the undergraduate level he teaches Hematology and GI, Bioethics (year 1 and year 2), physical examination and communication skills. He also provides post-graduate teaching in stem cell transplantation to hematology and oncology residents and fellows.
