Biography

Presently, I am the Royal College Chief Examiner in Gyn Oncology (Canada), and the Co-Chief Examiner for the Kuwaiti board exams in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a collaboration with the Canadian Royal College (International)

I was the Residency Program Director in Gynecologic Oncology from 2002 to 2019, University of Calgary.

Currently I am the gynecologic oncology lead, ACCC, and the Tumour Group Lead in Alberta.

I continue to have a major interest in teaching and in clinical trials in Gyn Oncology with a plan to update all the guidelines for the management of Gynecologic Cancers in Alberta. In May 2026, I will be joining the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (also known as the Canadian Drug Agency) as an Expert member of the pan-Canadian Oncology Review Board.

Area of Focus

Preinvasive and Invasive tumors of Gynecologic Origin, diagnosis and management. This includes looking at ways to improve patient care – physical and psychological.

Summary of Research

Current Research – Improving patient care by developing synoptic operative reports. Standardizes patient surgery allowing better care post-operatively.
Key Publications related to Treatment of Gynecologic Cancers including surgery, chemotherapy, and biologic agents.
