Biography

Dr Gimon is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Palliative Medicine at the University of Calgary with cross appointment at the Department of Family Medicine and Oncology. Currently her role encompass undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching and coordination of CME activities for the Division of Palliative Medicine. She earned her medical degree at the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1996 and subsequently completed Family Medicine training at the University of Saskatchewan in 2004. Since 2008 she has dedicated her practice exclusively to Palliative Medicine, joining the Palliative and End of Life Program Calgary Zone in 2016.  She has interest in the humanistic aspect of Palliative and End of Life Care particularly the areas of Theology, Ethics and Delirium at the End of Life.
