Dr. Kerba is a GI, lung and palliative radiation oncologist at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and a clinical associate professor in the Department of Oncology at the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine. He completed his medical training at the University of Toronto and radiation oncology residency at McMaster University. Dr. Kerba was awarded a CIHR sponsored fellowship in health services research at Queen’s University, Cancer Research Institute, and obtained a Master’s of Public Administration in health policy.
He is currently involved in several committees; as a Royal College examiner in radiation oncology, as Alberta’s representative on the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer System Performance Steering Committee, a member of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group Economics and Symptom Control Committees, a GI panel advisor to the pan-Canadian Oncology Drug Review/Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health, and works with the American Society of Clinical Oncology Quality of Care and Measures Task Force Committees.
