Dr. Lemieux completed her fellowship in Palliative Care at the University of Calgary in 2006. Since she has worked for Alberta Health Services as a palliative physician in a variety of settings including the Intensive Palliative Care Unit and on inpatient and outpatient consultation teams, and motor neuron disease clinic. She was the Medical Director for Rosedale Hospice for nearly 10 years. She is a founding member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons subspecialty in Palliative Medicine. Dr. Lemieux is the Program Director for the Enhanced Skills in Palliative Care through the Department of Family Medicine and the Royal College Subspecialty in Palliative Medicine. She is the Ombudsperson for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program.
Dr. Lemieux is active on the following education committees: Royal College Subspecialty in Palliative Medicine Specialty Committee, the Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians Post Graduate Education Committee, the Division of Palliative Medicine Continuing Professional Development committee, the Cumming School of Medicine PGME Committee, and the Competency Based Medical Education Subcommittee.
