Dr. Tony Truong is a pediatric oncologist at the Alberta Children’s Hospital who specializes in blood and marrow stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy. He is an associate professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Oncology at the University of Calgary. His primary research focus is in outcomes of stem cell transplantation through population based data and clinical trials, with a focus on leukemia/lymphoma, sickle cell disease and thalassemia, and cellular therapy for pediatric autoimmune diseases. His research includes a Department of Pediatrics Innovation Award in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Patients with Sickle Cell Disease.
