Biography

Dr. Tony Truong is a pediatric oncologist at the Alberta Children’s Hospital who specializes in treating children with leukemia and lymphoma and the use of blood and marrow stem cell transplantation. He is an assistant professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Oncology at the University of Calgary.  His primary research focus is in outcomes of stem cell transplantation through population based data and clinical trials, efficacy of stem cell collections, infusion related reactions and understanding the biology of red blood cell engraftment.  His research includes a Department of Pediatrics Innovation Award in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Patients with Sickle Cell Disease.
