Biography

Dr. Nicola Wright is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology/Immunology.  She specializes in children with benign hematologic disorders and primary immune deficiencies.  She is the site principal investigator for the North American Primary Immunodeficiency Treatment Consortium (PIDTC), a multicenter collaboration focusing on improving diagnosis and treatment of primary immune deficiencies.  Research interests include multiple autoimmune cytopenias and isolation practices for patients with severe combined immune deficiencies.  She has also been involved in initiating expanded newborn screening in Alberta for sickle cell disease and severe combined immune deficiency.
